KOW Framework

Just a brief note to open with, and a few details on current progress and plans ...

The code in the repos atm, should build and the nested_windows demo applet should run.

The code uses only the 'sunrise' console MMI base atm.

Current plan is to develop a 'gtk' MMI base and so test dynamic (run-time) selection of the base MMI.

Yay, folks!

Finally I've put all bits together and have managed to release APQ 3.0 and KOW Framework 1.0b.

I'll write the release notes in a while.... but if you want to you can already download the files from the redmine pages or from http://www.kow.com.br/releases

A gentoo overlay is available at git://kow.com.br/packages/gentoo-overlay.git.

Notice not all KOW Framework modules has been released, only the ones that have matured most. kowplug, kowlog kowdist and kowdb haven't been included in this release.

Hey there!

I have really exciting news (at least they are exciting for me). I've been reviewing all the Makefiles in the framework and I've noticed we wasn't using almost anything it has to offer.

As I have had some nasty issues with writing ebuilds for our Gentoo overlay (which will play nice with gnat eselect module) and so I decided to take this review a little further and I've created a generic Makefile that - at least for now - is working really nice.

Anyways, I'm gonna post more news soon as I'm working on the APQ 3.0 stable release and the KOW Framework 1.0 beta 1 release also. I'm really excited about all of this! :)
